A message from our Pastor Dave Greep

While being the spiritual leader of  this  congregation, I am very much a team player, and gain a lot of satisfaction  from  interactions with the community of East Helena and the relationships with  the  wonderful folks at EHUMC.  I very much enjoy small group ministry, and  believe  that is one good place for leaders to grow in faith and to teach one  another.  I  learn a lot from those experiences.  One of my favorite things of  all is helping  someone live into their potential for ministry in the name and emulation of  Jesus Christ.

I am happy to be living and serving in a place where  there are other United Methodist Churches close around, so that we too can share  ideas and help one another along the way to being those places which
serve the  deepest needs of our community, while also enjoying one another and having fun  doing what we do.  My own things to do for fun include bicycling, cooking,  reading, movies, target shooting and traveling---just about anywhere, especially  if it is someplace I have not been to before!  I believe that at EHUMC you will  find that spirit of of adventure and partnership that you too can be a part of.

While not a Montanan by birth, I consider this my home, and happy for it.  I bring with me some of my hard-working, earth-based growing up experiences from the farmlands of Kansas.  It seems to me to fit well  with the culture that I find in East Helena.  I live on the west side of East Helena with my wife, Denise and hope to meet YOU, if our paths have not crossed to this point.  It would be one more connection for me to treasure.

        Blessings  on your journey.
